About the Artist:

Having lived and painted most of her life in New England, Dale Partis Greene has studied art in many forms for most of her life. Since settling in Ipswich, MA in 1994 she has been inspired most by studying oil and pastel painting with with Albert Handell, Richard McKinley, Donald Jurney, Dennis Sheehan, Lully Schwartz and recently with Nella Lush. She loves the challenges that painting en plein air presents including the opportunities to really see, feel and connect with the changing moods of nature. More abstract work is done in her studio. Capturing a special moment in time in oil or acrylic is both her intention and pleasure.

Dale is an Artist Member of the Rockport Art Association and Museum and a past juried member of the National Association of Women Artists. She is also a member of the Newburyport Art Association, where she won the Laura Coombs Hills Winter Juried Show Award for Excellence in Oil, The Seacoast Art Association, Plein Air Painters of New Hampshire, and is an associate artist at the North Shore Arts Association. She has won numerous awards in exhibits at Marblehead Art Association, Andover Arts Guild’s Art in the Park, and the Ipswich Art Show 2008. She is a member of the Newburyport Ten Plein Air Painters which paints weekly in the Cape Ann area and hosts an annual exhibit at Newburyport Art Association.

Her art has been shown at the Hall Haskell House exhibits in Ipswich, The Ipswich Art Walk and Show, Sovereign Bank of Manchester-by-the Sea, Main Street Artworks in Wenham, the Hamilton-Wenham Library, Beverly Farms Library, and in many juried exhibits in the area, including the Rockport Art Association New England Invitational, 2011. She has also held solo featured artist exhibits in the Laura Coombs Hills Gallery at the Newburyport Art Association.

Dale’s work can be seen Arabella Gallery, 100 Cummings Center in Beverly Ma, and at her Ipswich studio.
